Jacquie Greff

Jacqueline Greff Bio

From its inception in 1990, Jacquie managed Tonal Vision's business affairs, designed and maintained its web site and helped promote Kraig's music. Hooked on the business and wanting to move into the arts as a career, after 21 years with Procter & Gamble, she accepted an early retirement packaged and joined the business full-time.

This multi-talented woman holds an MBA from Arizona State, a law degree from the University of Maryland, and an MA in Producing Film and Video from American University. She has won a number of awards for her productions and community service, and is currently President of the Board of the International Television Association in DC.

When Jacquie settled on Chemistry as her college major, she planned to go on to medical school.  Although she graduated summa cum laude, the realities of being a new mother in a rocky marriage living in a small Midwestern town in 1974 intervened.  Not wanting to work in a lab, she opted for business management, opening the Dubuque, IA branch of one of the first services to offer automated portable telephones that did not require an answering service dispatcher.  The business did well and quickly became profitable, but the aftermath of success was boredom.  Deciding she needed to experience more of the world, Jacquie sold her share of the business and moved to Phoenix, AZ with a musician friend, Kraig Greff, who she later married.

Determined to succeed in the competitive Phoenix job market, Jacquie worked as a Legal Assistant while she earned her MBA at Arizona State University.  Upon graduation, she accepted a job in R&D with Procter & Gamble, one of the world’s leading consumer products companies, in Cincinnati, OH.  During her 21 years with P&G, Jacquie held positions of increasing responsibility, initially in Product Research, where she helped develop the formula, packaging and aesthetics for their revolutionary new liquid detergent, Liquid Tide.  Next, she moved into Regulatory Services where she was promoted to Section Head. Her assignments in Regulatory Services ranged from phosphate detergent legislation to environmental research on the company’s fat substitute, Olestra, to developing a computerized process for global regulatory and safety reviews, to quality assurance. In 1993, she transferred from Cincinnati to Cosmetics in Hunt Valley, MD.  Seeking to deepen her understanding of the regulatory and legal environment, Jacquie went to law school nights, earning her JD from the University of Maryland in 1996.

In January 2002, Jacquie accepted an early retirement package to work with her husband of 25 years in their business, Tonal Vision.  She helped expand the business from music and audio into video and multimedia, in the process earning a second Masters in Producing Film & Video from American University in Washington, DC.  She brings the same tireless excellence to her filmmaking that she applied to her corporate job and her education.
