What can mastering do for your recording?
- Mastering brings a fresh perspective to the music, improving it, bringing out the highs or lows, making it sparkle or sound less muddy, so it plays well in a variety of listening situations.
- Mastering removes digital noise and jitter caused by timing errors introduced during the conversion of analog to digital recordings.
- Mastering can EQ a number of separately recorded pieces so that they work together as a sonically consistent CD.
- Mastering can selectively compress the music so that it sounds competitive with the other songs on the radio without destroying the dynamic range.
