John Christian Kane
We are proud to launch Mice in the Attic, Tonal Vision’s live streaming music series with John Christian Kane. John is a Baltimore singer songwriter who has been performing for 20 years.
John Christian Kane was born in Baltimore City in 1983, and began playing guitar at the young age of 9. Influenced by the older blues and Motown sounds beloved by his parents, John studied at local music shops and Peabody Preparatory Institute in order to continue his love of music and develop his own sound.
John's talents are not limited solely to guitar; he plays a variety of instruments on most of his songs. He played in a number of bands during his teens, touring and winning battle of the bands contests throughout his younger years. John produced an EP with the rock band Far From Earth, achieving a local level of success and recognition. John and Far From Earth performed at the national Artscape Festival and won local radio station's 98Rock Battle of the Bands.
Starting his own projects after leaving Far From Earth, he shared the stage with acts such as Everlast, Mishka, and Rusted Root. Producers from the WB network selected John to represent his hometown of Baltimore in their developing program "The Next: Fame is at your Doorstep." The same producers sought John for ABC network's "The Rising Star" in 2014.
In 2014 at the MyRuralRadio.com Fall Music Festival, he was awarded ARTIST of the YEAR by MyRuralRadio.com is an independent broadcasting station, who works soley with independent and unsigned artists, worldwide.
John continues to self-produce songs and music videos, as well as play in local venues with his trio J3K, full time.
