June 4, 2020: The Meantime
In our first episode since the beginning of the Covid-19 quarantine, Tonal Vision featured our new hosts, Ashley and Chris of The Meantime as our season 2 episode 6 performance Mice in the Attic. Because of temporary health restrictions, this performance was recorded remotely, with Ashley and Chris also in separate locations.
The Meantime is an acoustic singer-songwriter duo from Baltimore, MD made up of multi-instrumentalists Chris Pierorazio and Ashley Higginbotham. The two musicians merged their diverse tastes with their classical training to create a sound that's honest, reflective, and solemn. Known for setting sincere lyrics to acoustic soundscapes, the music is described as being born of wanderlust and adventure.
The Meantime have recently shared the stage with award-winning singer-songwriter David Wilcox at a sold out show, were chosen to perform at Stages Music Arts' inaugural livestream, and have been featured in The 9 Songwriter Series on multiple occasions. Listeners liken their sound to Joni Mitchell, Sara Bareilles, and David Wilcox.
