Jacquie & Alex in Studio

Tonal Vision is a woman-owned video production company who have mastered the art of storytelling. We work with small businesses, cause-related organizations, and performers to create high quality video messages that promote their cause, their passion, and their livelihood.

Established by Kraig Greff in 1990 as Tonal Vision Music Production, we began by producing original music and audio postproduction. In 1998 when Jacquie Greff joined the company, we added video production and rebranded under the name Tonal Vision LLC.

After spending 21 years at Procter & Gamble, Jacquie wanted a way to be closer to her husband Kraig’s music. Preferring to be well-prepared, she already had an MBA and JD, but also went for an MA in Producing Film & Video. Video production proved to be more than just a family affair, but her passion led to her run the growing company and save TIVA-DC (that’s a long story).

While most kids were watching cartoons or riding bikes, Kraig was studying classical accordion. With more than a lifetime’s worth of musical experience under his belt, Kraig has toured with Barry White and Diana Ross and performed classical accordion with the Baltimore Symphony. In 1990, Kraig founded Tonal Vision, producing original music and providing audio post-production for film and video. Under the brilliant guidance of his wife, Tonal Vision expanded to video production, giving Kraig time to build his band, The Crawdaddies.

  • Mya Montgomery

    Mya Montgomery

    Writer | Videographer | Editor | Photographer

In mid-2017, Mya Montgomery, a Towson University graduate, reached out to us hoping for some freelance work. She was in luck, as longtime Creative Director Frank Tybush had just accepted a position in New York. We snapped her up quickly. Mya already had experience working on local commercials, indie shorts and music videos, and was looking to sharpen her writing experience. Since working for Tonal Vision, she has also honed her videography and photography skills and has become our lead editor.

  • Kim Shapiro

    Kim Shapiro

Dance Producer | Videographer | Editor

Kim's life-long love of dance gives her a unique understanding of movement, perspective and dynamics that she applies to her editing and videography. After spending years working with Jacquie at Procter & Gamble, Kim helped pioneer our venture into filming live dance. She is now co-producer of our video for dance program and our lead theatrical editor. Although Kim loves to learn and experience new challenges, her teammates also appreciate her patient good humor, flexibility and reliability.

Most interested in creating her own worlds, Dee Sambataro came on board as our graphic artist and animator after graduating on the Dean’s List at Towson University. She has boundless enthusiasm for all forms of animation and is happy to take on anything related to motion graphics. But her talents aren’t limited to the graphic arts -- she also hosted our fifth season of our web series History at Risk. She extends her creativity in her spare time as a cosplayer.
